Feature — Smart solicitation

Smart solicitation

Vouch triggers the right ask, on the right channel, at the right moment in the customer journey — automatically. Every send respects consent, quiet hours, and frequency caps, so growth in review volume never comes at the cost of compliance.

What you get

Event-triggered, not calendar-triggered

Connect a completed purchase, a service visit, or a support ticket close to Vouch via integration or API, and a solicitation fires within minutes — while the experience is still fresh and response rates are highest.

Multi-step drips and A/B variants

A single ask often gets missed. Vouch supports multi-touch sequences (an initial SMS, a follow-up email) and A/B tests subject lines, send times, and copy to find what actually converts for your customer base.

Per-locale templates

Templates render in the customer's language (en-US and es-MX supported today) so the ask feels native, not translated as an afterthought.

Consent, quiet hours, and frequency caps enforced automatically

TCPA one-to-one consent, 10DLC registration status, WhatsApp Business opt-in, and per-contact frequency caps are enforced by the platform — not left to a location manager to remember.

How it works

1

Connect a trigger event

Integrate Vouch with your POS, booking system, CRM, or support tool — or call the Vouch API directly — so a lifecycle event (checkout, appointment completion, ticket resolution) kicks off a solicitation.

2

Pick the channel and cadence

Choose email, SMS, WhatsApp, or a multi-step combination. Vouch matches send timing to the channel: SMS and WhatsApp for fast, time-sensitive asks; email for longer-form requests.

3

Set destination logic

Decide which review platform (Google, Yelp, Facebook, Tripadvisor, Trustpilot) each customer is routed toward, by location, locale, or channel — see Destination routing for the full logic.

4

Let Vouch enforce compliance

Consent capture, quiet hours, and frequency caps run automatically in the background on every send, across every location.

5

Watch volume and iterate

Track solicitation-to-review conversion by location and channel in Vouch analytics, and let A/B tests refine copy and timing over time.

FAQ

What channels can Vouch use to request reviews?

Email, SMS (10DLC-registered), and WhatsApp Business. Most customers mix channels — SMS for fast, time-sensitive asks and email for longer sequences — and Vouch lets you configure the mix per location or per campaign.

Does smart solicitation violate the FTC Fake Review Rule if I only ask happy customers?

Vouch's default and recommended pattern is to invite every customer to leave a public review, regardless of how they responded to any prior survey — selectively soliciting only promoters is review gating, which the FTC Fake Review Rule (16 CFR Part 465) prohibits. Use satisfaction data to prioritize service recovery, not eligibility to review.

Can I customize the timing of solicitation sends?

Yes. You can trigger immediately, delay by a set interval, or build a multi-step sequence with follow-ups spaced days apart. Vouch also respects per-contact quiet hours so sends don't land at 6am or midnight local time.

How does Vouch handle consent for SMS and WhatsApp?

Vouch requires and tracks explicit opt-in consent per contact and channel, in line with TCPA's one-to-one consent standard and WhatsApp Business policy. STOP/HELP keyword handling is built in for SMS. See the SMS opt-in surface for the canonical consent flow merchants deploy.
